I do not make a habit of entering photo competitions - what you see on my website is what you get and I hold nothing back just to enter a competition. If I like an image I keep it and post it on my website for all to see.

Nevertheless, to get an accolade massages the ego somewhat so I was delighted to learn that I have won the Birwatch magazine Rarity Photo of the month with this image af a Glossy Ibis taken at Ouse Washes RSPB Cambridgeshire
