The headline sums up this weeks activities.

I have been hankering for a trip to see the Marsh Warbler at omega replica watches Narborough Norfolk for a few days. I am not a 'twitcher' as I find that rarely is it possible to get decent images when there is a crowd so I wait for a few days for activity to quieten down. Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

The Marsh Warbler had been showing well for a few days so I ventured forth last Tuesday after it had been reported at 09.20 that morning as singing and showing well. I arrived at 12.30 - the bird was last seen at 11.20 so all seemed hopeful. Well it wasn't, despite waiting unto 5.15pm and it has not been reported since.

The only birds of interest was a pair of Garden Warblers - well they refused to sit so the net result for the day was zilch!!! Happens sometimes.

Yesterday, with good weather forecast, I decided to stay local, visiting Ouse Fen RSPB to see if the Bitterns were flying - I arrived a 08.30 and never saw or heard a Bittern. Marsh Harriers around but none of the images I took were an improvement on the one's I already had so they were binned.

There were loads of male Reed Buntings around so, despite already having many rolex replica  images, I took a few more as the reed background appeared attractive.

After a couple of hours, I retired home and then went to Fowlmere RSPB mid afternoon. The only birds of interest were two Green Sandpipers on the mere. Anyone who has visited this reserve will know that the mere is a long way from the hide for photography but I thought I would take a few record shots for the Cambridshire Bird Club website. 2x converter on and heavily cropped but they are record shots of an infrequent visitor to the reserve, sadly not of the quality I want for this website because of the distance.

So the net result for the week - one image worth keeping.

Well, at least I have the next trip out to look forward to!!!
